Soochow University is located in Suzhou, an ancient city popularly called 'the Paradise on Earth' in China. With a long history tracing back to Dongwu University founded in 1900, it is not only a key comprehensive university of Jiangsu Province but also one of the first-tier universities supported by the national '211' project. Today the university boasts three campuses. Key Laboratory of Aquatic Animal Nutrition was founded in 2003, is located in the beautiful Dushu Lake Campus. There are three specialties of postgraduate education including fisheries development, hydrobiology and animal nutrition here. 112 graduate students have been awarded Master’s degree from 2003 to 2021. Today, the laboratory seeks to attain the highest standards in teaching, academic research and enterprise so as to become a center of excellence regionally.
